A.  The QIO timeframe to complete the appeal is 20 calendar days. The QIO will send the hospital a copy of the appeal results at the same time they are uploaded to the CDAC for posting. The CDAC will then have 10 days to post the QIO Appeal Decision to the QualityNet Hospital Validation Reports.

B.    The Post Appeal Results are accessed via QualityNet.

1.      Log-In to QualityNet

2.      Under “Reports” (left column, 4^th Gray Box) select “Hospital Validation Reports”

3.      Select from the following reports:

q       Overall Results

q       Case Detail

q       Reliability by Topic

q       Results by Abstractor

4.    Select the appropriate Discharge Timeframe;

5.    CHANGE THE TYPE OF VALIDATION RATE TO “POST- APPEAL” by clicking the scroll button where Original is located; select "POST- APPEAL"

6.    Click "Submit Report;" select “Report Viewer;” open the report by clicking on the magnifying glass icon.
