PROJECT OVERVIEW
Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA)

Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA) is the most common hospital acquired infection in the United States, according to the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC). eQHealth Solutions is charged with the task of reducing rates of health care associated MRSA infections. This is in alignment with many national health care improvement initiatives and requirements related to preventing, reducing and eliminating health care associated infections.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The MRSA Community of Practice (CoP)

The MRSA CoP is a hospital initiative designed to target hospitals reporting to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN). The goal is to have hospitals report MRSA to the NHSN Multi-Drug Resistant Organism (MDRO) module in an effort to reduce the infection and transmission rates of MRSA within the hospital. Each hospital participating in this CoP will have access to all eQHealth resources including onsite visits, consultations, intervention strategies and support for data analysis.
