Deputy Project Director

The Deputy Project Director has direct operational responsibility for Medicaid utilization and quality assurance reviews for public programs and ensures that all project deliverables are met timely. A background with public health programs, utilization review, and large healthcare systems beneficial. Excellent writing skills are required.
Successful candidate will have a Batchelor’s Degree in nursing and a minimum of 5 yrs. of management experience. At least one year experience in development, analysis, and utilization of management reports combined with strategic planning and some clinical background is preferred. This position is located in Jackson, MS.
Medical Director
Health Systems of Mississippi (HSM) has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a physician as the Medical Director for its Medicaid utilization review function for the State of Mississippi.
The position oversees all medical and clinical assessment activities, including recruitment and training of peer clinical reviewers. Functions as liaison with physicians, providers, and community health-related organizations. Provides professional and analytical support to peer clinical reviewers, QM/UM committee and department staff.
The successful candidate will have completed professional post-residency program in direct patient care or clinical specialty appropriate to HSM's utilization management services; will be a Mississippi active, non-restricted licensed practitioner with Board Certification or ten years clinical experience and license in Mississippi. ABQAURP certification preferred.
Should be trained in state and federal laws regulating utilization management and peer review process and in Commission/URAC Health Utilization Management standards.
Minimum of three years experience in utilization review, quality management, and/or
managed care. Position is located in Jackson, MS. Excellent benefit package.
Therapy Supervisor and Appeals Specialist
Physical, Occupational or Speech Therapist or B.S. degree in Nursing with Mississippi RN license required. If RN, must have Rehab or Physical, Occupational or Speech Therapy experience. Minimum two years relevant experience in acute care/ambulatory care. UR or CM experience required. Supervisory experience required.
